The American Studies Certificate Program will continue its relationship with the Futures of American Studies Institute at Dartmouth College and  will sponsor 4 GC students to attend the Futures Institute this summer.

Participation in the Futures institute is an important part of the Certificate Program’s commitment to providing opportunities for intellectual community and professionalization.  Now in its twentieth year, the Futures of American Studies Institute is designed to provide a shared space of critical inquiry that brings the participants’ work-in-progress to the attention of a network of influential scholars.
