The Office of Transformation has been partnering with the inaugural Career Success Fellows to build on CUNY’s legacy as one of the most important engines of social mobility in the country and help the University to prepare CUNY students for their futures even more effectively. This Spring, we look forward to welcoming a new cohort of Career Success Fellows who will contribute to this important work.

The time could not be better for this infusion of energy and ideas. The Chancellor has recently emphasized the importance of career exploration and preparation for CUNY students and the critical role faculty can play in this space. Under the leadership of Executive Vice Chancellor & University Provost Wendy Hensel and University Associate Provost Lauren Andersen, CUNY is beginning to advance a holistic Careers Across the Disciplines initiative.

We seek a total of 50 new Career Success Fellows in Spring 2023, with two Fellows per CUNY campus, one representing Liberal Arts, Humanities, Education, or Social Sciences, and one representing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), Healthcare, or Business & Accounting. Fellows will:

  • Take part in a collaborative professional development program on Monday, April 17, 2023 (10am to 12pm on Zoom) and Monday, April 24, 2023 (10am to 12:30pm at 205 East 42nd Street, NY, NY 10017)
  • Be actively engaged as campus leaders and cross-CUNY liaisons, including spearheading local events, from Spring 2023 through June 2024

Interested faculty can apply here. The application deadline for the Career Success Fellows is close of business on Friday, March 3, 2023. For more information about this opportunity, including eligibility requirements and compensation, please review the Request for Applications.

Don’t hesitate to write to transformation@cuny.edu with any questions or concerns. We look forward to expanding the impact of the Career Success Fellows within CUNY.
