May 1, 2018 | Rukshana Jalil The Center for Latin American, Caribbean, and Latino Studies of the CUNY Graduate Center is looking to fill TWO fellowship positions for Fall 2018, with the possibility of renewal pending funding and successful completion of assignments. Each fellow must be enrolled full-time as a doctoral student at the Graduate Center, CUNY. Each position pays a stipend of $5,000 for the academic semester. Please indicate position of interest in your application packet:Data Fellow The research fellow will be expected to produce ONE quantitative data report around the Latino population in the United States. The reports are written using US census micro-data or similar data source. For an example of the reports we produce please see: http://web.gc.cuny.edu/lastudies/pages/latinodataprojectreports.html Successful applicants will possess the following skills and qualifications: Demonstrated quantitative skills Familiarity with micro-data Expertise in quantitative analysis program such as SPSS Excellent writing skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Familiarity with ArcGIS is ideal Digital Fellow The Digital Fellow will be responsible for the redesign, update and maintenance of the CLACLS website, email platform, and social media pages. Successful applicants will possess the following skills and qualifications: Experience in website design/ maintenance – WordPress platform Proficiency in graphic design, social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), Outlook, Mail Chimp or similar platform DEADLINE: May 20th, 2018, 5pm.
